Penrith Referees Association Announces New Major Sponsor
The Penrith Referees Association is excited to announce an exciting new major sponsorship with local-based business Avida.
This three-year agreement marks a significant milestone for the Association, with Avida coming on board as the front of jersey sponsor. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting grassroots sport and strengthening the local rugby league community.
Based in Emu Plains, Avida has a strong connection to the Penrith region, making this partnership particularly meaningful. Their investment in the Association will play a key role in supporting the development of referees at all levels from juniors taking their first steps into officiating, through to senior match officials progressing through the ranks.
Penrith Referees Association Chairman Rohan Best welcomed the partnership, highlighting the positive impact it will have across the organisation.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Avida. Their support allows us to continue developing our referees and providing opportunities within the game we all love. Having a local business back our Association makes this partnership even more special.”
The new sponsorship will also be showcased through the Association’s updated 2026 referee kit, with Avida featured prominently as the major partner.
Avida Sales & Marketing Manager, Billy Falconer, also expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership, recognising the important role referees play in the game.
“Referees are essential to rugby league at every level, and we’re proud to support the Penrith Referees Association and the work they do within the community.”
This partnership signals continued growth for the Association, both on and off the field, as it looks to build on its strong foundations for current and future referees.
The Penrith Referees Association extends its sincere thanks to Avida for their support and looks forward to a successful partnership over the coming years.
